Kay Harris and Molly Pauken are the songwriting engines of the group, Sirens. Kay, as a vocalist and songwriter for most of her life, has recorded numerous albums and demos, providing lead and backup vocals on more than 70 local and national jingles, including McDonalds, Wendy’s and Kroger. Having performed throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico, she is a powerful, enduring vocalist and songwriter. Kay recently partnered with the Columbus jazz-fusion band Flippo to perform several Joni Mitchell tribute concerts, all of which received rave reviews.
Keeping a busy schedule, Molly tours with Rodney Crowell when she’s available, remaining home often enough to perform with the area’s elite. A songwriter, too, Molly plays bass, guitar, drums and mandolin in a number of other bands, covering a wide range of musical styles. She often joins another Songs at the Center artist on stage as a member of Hilda Doyle’s band Ladies of Longford.
“Pauken shines on bass and guitar, and turns in a couple of solid drum tracks too. Molly’s bass work is killer! Serious slap-style funk grooves, cohesive compositional style.” (Nashville Music Row Magazine.)
Kay and Molly have toured throughout Europe and the Middle East, providing music for U.S. troops through Armed Forces Entertainment, and other charitable organizations.
